An echo usually means two echo cancellers are fighting, or your cell phone microphone is picking up sound it should not.

  1. Some cell phones have their own echo cancellation that fights with Cell2Jack. Turn off the Cell2Jack echo cancellation by pressing 80# on the home phone keypad, then unplug and replug the power to reboot.
  2. Some cell phones keep their own microphone on during a Bluetooth call, which distorts the sound. Lower your cell phone Bluetooth microphone volume to the minimum. You only do this once.
  3. If the echo is still there, move the home phone away from the cell phone so the cell phone microphone cannot pick up your voice.
