Cell2Jack can feed every wall jack in your house so all your phones work at once. But you have to do it in the right order. Skip a step and you can damage the device.

Warning. If your house still has phone company service, a live phone line will damage Cell2Jack. Disconnect it first, as shown in Step 2.

Do it in this order

  1. Set up Cell2Jack with one home phone first. Connect that phone straight to Cell2Jack, pair your cell phone, and make sure calls work both ways.
  2. Disconnect the phone company wire where it meets your house wiring. That happens at the network interface box, the gray box about 6 by 9 inches on an outside wall, usually near the cable TV box and the power meter.
  3. Now plug Cell2Jack into any unused wall jack. Every phone on your house wiring is ready to use.

If you are not sure your wall jacks are cut off from the old service, do not use them. Nobody can see what is wired behind your walls, so there is no guarantee a given jack is safe. When in doubt, plug your phone straight into Cell2Jack.
